A mother and a daughter were in the kitchen washing the dishes while the son and father sat in the living room watching TV.
Suddenly there was the sound of dishes crashing and breaking on the floor. There was silence. "It was Mom,"said the son finally.
"How do you know?" asked his father. "Because she isn't saying anything."
아버지와 아들이 거실에서 TV를 보는 동안 어머니와 딸이 부엌에서 설거지를 하고 있었다. 그러다 갑자기 접시가 부엌바닥에 떨어지면서 깨지는 소리가 났다. 잠시 침묵이 흐른 뒤 아들이 말했다. "어머니가 떨어뜨렸네요."
"그걸 어떻게 알아?" 아버지가 묻자 아들이 대답했다. "어머니가 아무 말도 안 하시잖아요."
