Joe was a single guy living at home with his father and working in the family business. When he found out he was going to inherit a fortune when his sick father died, he decided he needed a wife with whom to share his fortune.
One evening at an investment seminar he spotted the most beautiful woman he had ever seen. "I may look like just an ordinary man," he said to her, "but in just a few years, my father will pass, and I'll inherit his large fortune."
Impress, the woman took his business card and three months later, she became Joe's stepmother.
조는 아버지와 함께 살면서 가업을 이어 일하는 총각이었다. 편찮으신 아버지가 돌아가시면 막대한 재산을 물려받을 것이라는 사실을 알게 되자 그는 자신의 행운을 함께 할 부인을 얻어야겠다고 마음먹었다.
어느 날 저녁 투자 세미나에서 그는 지금껏 봐온 여성 가운데 가장 아름다운 여성을 만났다. "제가 지금은 평범한 남자로 보이지만 몇 년 지나지 않아 아버지가 돌아가시면 엄청난 재산을 물려받게 됩니다." 그가 말했다.
깊은 인상을 받은 여성은 그의 명함을 받아갔고 3개월 후 조의 새엄마가 됐다.
